Remove defamation from LiveLeak 30 April 2015

Jurisdiction: United State, Arizona.solicitor to remove from liveak defamation

Pages removed from: LiveLeak.

Date of removal: 30 April 2015.

Number of web pages removed: 1.

Additional information: Our solicitors removed defamation about our client who is a lawyer. The defamatory posts included allegations that the lawyer was acting dishonestly and that he had been subject to numerous investigations by the SRA. The allegations were malicious and intended to harm the reputation of the lawyer. False allegations against lawyers must be addressed very carefully because of the inability of the law firm to disclose information about their clients, most of which would be subject to client's solicitor privileges. Solicitors who become subject to defamation on the internet are advised to seek specialist legal advice as there might be limitation to how much information they are even allowed to disclose to their own lawyers at some stages of the proceedings.
