Additional information: Our client was located in the USA but had substantial business interests in the United Kingdom. First, our client with the help of our US internet law attorneys obtained an injunction in the US to prevent the publication of the defamation on RipOffReport, enforcing the injunction in relation to the false RipOffReport on Google. However, Google insisted that as our client's injunction was obtained in the USA, Google was not obliged to honour it in relation to its Google search engines across the EU.
Our client, who has business interests across the globe fought Google for more than 12 months until our defamation lawyers managed to persuade Google's lawyers to de-list the defamatory RipOffReport from searches across the European Union.
Eventually we de-listed a total of 5 RipOffReport pages from Google searches results across the EU. We strongly recommend that you instruct a solicitor to deal with the removal of defamation on RipOffReport from search engines and that you do not attempt to do this yourself. If you require an injunction, our lawyers will work out with you the best jurisdiction for your case to obtain it and if required will work together with our US internet law attorneys whose offices are located just outside the courthouse in Tempe, Arizona.
